Angela Carter’s literary World Motion Design, Generative Design
Angla Carter was an English novelist, short story writer, poet, and journalist. At a time when sober social realists dominated English literature, she played with disreputable genres – gothic horror, science fiction, fairytale – and gave free rein to the fantastic and the surreal.
A hypothetical exhibition has been conceived inspired by Angela Carter's literary universe. This exhibition, resonating with Carter's signature themes of fairy tales, feminism, gothic mysticism, sexuality, and fantasy, merges motion design and immersive installations to pay tribute to one of the most distinctive literary voices of the past century.

The core message I aim to convey through the design is Angela Carter's unique ability to craft a bizarre and beautiful world in her literature. To this end, I have selected three exceptional stories from Carter's work. By employing an illustration style inspired by her literary aesthetics, this motion design project aims to showcase her work's humor, sensuality, fearfulness, and brutality, all underpinned by her sharp, subversive intellect and a style marked by opulent beauty.

Generative design played a pivotal role as both a supplement and an extension in enriching the original concept of this exhibition, thereby establishing a comprehensive identity. It was instrumental in generating additional visuals seamlessly integrated across all deliverables.
